What this error means

Quickfix AI shows this message when it cannot reach the internet from your Windows or macOS device. It usually appears while the app is checking for updates, syncing results, or trying to send diagnostic data. In many cases, the problem is with the network rather than Quickfix AI itself.

If you are connected to Wi-Fi but still see this message, your device may be connected to a router that is not reaching the internet, or a firewall, VPN, or network setting may be blocking access.

How to fix it

  1. Check whether other websites or apps work. Try opening a website in your browser or using another app that needs the internet. If nothing loads, the issue is with your connection, not Quickfix AI.
  2. Turn Wi-Fi off and on again, or reconnect to Ethernet. On Windows or macOS, disconnect from the network, wait a few seconds, and connect again. If you use Wi-Fi, make sure you are on the correct network.
  3. Restart your router or modem. Unplug the power cable, wait at least 30 seconds, then plug it back in. Wait until the lights are steady before testing the connection again.
  4. Restart your device. A restart can clear temporary network issues on both Windows and macOS. After the computer starts again, open Quickfix AI and try the action that failed.
  5. Temporarily turn off VPN or security software. If you use a VPN, disconnect from it and try again. If a firewall or security app is controlling network traffic, check whether Quickfix AI is allowed to access the internet.
  6. Forget and rejoin the Wi-Fi network if the problem continues. Remove the saved network from your device, then connect again with the Wi-Fi password. This can fix a bad network profile or stale connection settings.

When to seek help

Seek help if the message keeps appearing after you have confirmed that other apps can access the internet, restarted your router and device, and reconnected to the network. You should also get support if this happens on a work or school network, because a firewall or policy may be blocking Quickfix AI. If you suspect a larger internet outage, contact your internet provider or your network administrator.
