Updates and versioning
Last updated February 4, 2026
Quickfix AI lets you know when updates are available, but you're always in control of when to install them. The app checks automatically in the background when you launch it, so you'll see a notification if there's a new version—but nothing downloads or installs without your say-so. We also use this system to communicate maintenance windows and important announcements.
How updates work
Quickfix AI uses a remote configuration system to keep you informed about new versions, maintenance windows, and important announcements. When you launch the app, it automatically checks for updates in the background without delaying startup. If a new version is available, you'll see a notification—but you're always in control of when (or whether) to update.
Update types

Installing updates
When you see an update notification, click it or visit quickfix.ai/download directly. Download the latest version for your platform and install it over your existing installation—your preferences are automatically preserved.
Quickfix AI doesn't auto-update in the background. You'll always know when an update is happening and have the choice to proceed or wait.
Maintenance and announcements
Occasionally we perform server maintenance, typically during low-usage periods and for brief windows. During maintenance, scanning and viewing reports online may be temporarily unavailable. If maintenance is in progress when you launch the app, you'll see a message with the estimated end time.
We also use in-app announcements to communicate new features, important updates, temporary issues, and security notices. These appear as banners in the app and can be dismissed after you've read them.
